The Bump City Collaborator is the brainchild of writer, teacher and comics guru Bob Callahan. Callahan, working with New College of California in Berkeley, wanted to publish a politically-oriented literary journal. He rounded up contributors from around the country including Naomi Klein, Michael Patrick MacDonald and Art Spiegelman.

__ I worked with Bob numerous times when I created special issues and sections for LA Weekly, and was excited when he contacted me about Bump City Collaborator. designSimple built the templates, provided art direction, layouts and covers, and even created the center spread poster. The production was wrapped up in about a week and we delivered press-ready files to the printer in Berkeley. I hope Bob gets the urge to put another one together real soon.
