FEAST

Feast is a book I designed for AlterNet in late 2009. It’s a collection of essays about food and farming typical of the great journalism AlterNet is known for. The cover is stock art. I didn’t have the time or budget to commission an original piece, but I’m fond of the style and my clients loved it.

ELECTRIC LITERATURE No.s 1 & 2, edited by Andy Hunter and Scott Lindenbaum

Electric Literature has been getting a lot of press lately. I wish I could take credit for that, but I just design it. Most of the brilliance of Electric Literature is in its multiple formats—iPhone app, Kindle, eBook, print-on-demand softcover—and the clever marketing direction. Oh, and the world-class contributors of short fiction don’t hurt.
The cover art of No.1 is by Fred Tomaselli and No.2 is by the incomparable Clayton Brothers.

Another interesting title from Feral House, this one covers the history and uses of the opium poppy and all of the various goodies derived thereof.
